About Char Bro Ltd
Beginnings
Char Bro Ltd was set up to help reverse climate change, improve ecosystem viability and benefit people in New Zealand through biochar.
Done right, that will improve profitability, reduce risk and improve communities' resilience.
Char Bro Ltd is based in Auckland, NZ. We started making biochar commercially in June 2021, and we're continuously learning and training others how to do that better.
About us
Warrick and his brothers and sister grew up on a 12 acre block in the foothills of the Waitākere ranges in West Auckland surrounded by farmland, waterfalls and native bush. They helped the family plant nursery and landscaping business, and they have always valued the beauty and abundance in nature.
In 2012 Warrick became more interested in how economies can coexist with natural ecosystems as a way of becoming sustainable. This relationship has deepened, and he is now working to contribute to climate positive and ecology positive regeneration so that our grandchildren's grandchildren can enjoy our beautiful pale blue dot too.
Char Bro Ltd is a way of making that happen in NZ.
